One of my greatest gifts of 2010 has been returning to Full Monty Men's Division after 9 long years and being embraced by my men's team, Poker Canyon. I am a text book example of the power of trusted men in our lives to push us, challenge us and inspire us to make real changes, fast! This win is an example of how my team reminded me never to lose sight of my dreams and to trust my higher purpose.
Recently, whilst on vacation in Kauai with my wife Daniela, I took a long walk along beautiful Kapuhi Beach, contemplating all that life has to offer and the shape of things to come. If you've ever been to Kauai, you'll know that it is referred to as the "Island of Manifestation" and deep existential moments are frequent and common!
As I looked out at the blend of waves and rolling clouds, I questioned what my path should be and felt a gnawing truth that I was playing too safe. It was a profound moment of realization that there was so much more expected of me on a grander scale and I needed to discover how to get there and fast! I felt a clear message to simply trust life and believe it will all unfold...
Here's where the magic of the island kicked in... the very next morning, I received a call from a former coaching client in LA about the opportunity to work with the Producers of the hit ABC show "The Bachelor" to bring the world of life coaching to prime time television! You couldn't have written a more surreal script for how art imitates life.
On my return to LA, I worked with Brad Womack, this coming season's current Bachelor on the show for 7 episodes as his "relationship coach." As men of MDI, you will recognize many of the principles and codes we live by and the message that will reach millions of men and women of how to show up as an honorable man that women can trust and respect will be evident. It has been truly profound for me to be guiding a man's personal inner journey and see him openly reveal himself for the benefit of millions learning from his vulnerability and courage.
All will soon be revealed as the show begins its new season on Monday January 3rd at 8pm on ABC! I want to thank the men of Poker Canyon for your unconditional acceptance and highest standards and for the way you treat men like men and for never quitting on a man and his dream.Happy Holidays and remember... never give up on your dreams!
