Being a Mentor is about Paying It Forward
I have had countless numbers of men mentor to me in this organization over the past 4 years. I am the man I am today because of everyone of those men. Those men opened their hearts to teach me, to be an example so that I could teach other men. I know that no matter what if I show a man my heart he will trust me enough to show me his. Getting connected to men that I don't know is one of the most empowering gifts that I could ask for.
The ability to get uncomfortable quickly with a man by reflecting back what I hear and asking him questions allows me to answer those questions for myself. It is imperative that I stay connected to my heart for me to be the man I want to be and being a mentor helps me do that. In my life this is yet another circle that I have with two other men that I trust and trust me. Knowing that I will have a connection to those team leaders after they complete is an awesome feeling. Knowing that I am going to have the ability to be a positive impact on a new team leader is priceless. I believe in what men have taught me and I believe in my ability to teach it to other men.
Being a mentor is the most rewarding work that I have done in a circle... So Far.......
