Just Reach For It

What is it that makes being on a men’s team such a powerful and beneficial experience? Is it camaraderie of masculine spirit and being held accountable for our actions? Is it being able to reveal shameful incidents from our past and being released from the grip they have as a result? Is it receiving an honest reflection of who we are as men in the eyes of men we trust? I assert that it is a combination of these things that makes it powerful and it is the absence of these things that makes it weak and limp.
While a team is made up of individual members, each and every individual has the power to affect the course of the team meeting and therefore the team as a whole, every week. Have you ever been to a meeting that felt particularly flat and one man gets fed up with it and screams: “WHAT THE FUCK!” – exactly the words you were thinking, and the entire direction of not only the meeting, but the team shifts in that one moment? While I am not encouraging each man to run around shouting ‘What the Fuck’ at his team meeting on a regular basis, am I encouraging each of you to own the ability you have to making your meetings powerful. Each and every meeting we attend has the potential to cause a huge shift in any man’s life. What would this mean for you: a job you love, a passionate relationship with a beautiful woman, losing 20 pounds, getting completely out of debt and start investing in your future, complete and total relief from chronic pain, loving yourself like never before?
Going to team meetings week after week and not reaching for these things is a waste of three hours and a couple gallons of gas. If you want to be a better lover, buy a book, read it, and do what it tells you. If you want to become a man that your wife wears sexy lingerie for and cannot wait to be fucked by any way you want, you join a men’s team. If you want a good job, you go to college and get a degree, go to a career counselor for advice on interview techniques, and start applying for jobs. If you want a career doing something you love and making good money doing it, you join a men’s team and find out what the hell is holding you back. Quit fucking around! The accomplishments available to us in being on a men’s team are ridiculous if we will just reach for it, if we will be courageous enough to dream out loud to the people in our lives that want it for us at least as much as we do…our men’s team.
The time is now and the place is here. Use your men’s team for what it is designed for, to overcome obstacles and barriers and create success in any area of your life you want.
