how do real supermen live their lives?
"Everything you do right now ripples outward and affects everyone. Your posture can shine your heart or transmit anxiety. Your breath can radiate love or muddy the room in depression. Your glance can awaken joy. Your words can inspire freedom. Your every act can open hearts and minds"

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Last weekend was the Veteran’s Holiday Celebration. It was a great success. For all who responded to the call, thank you for coming out and showing your support. We had men working Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You may have been in the background, you may have been leading, whatever support you were able to provide, know that you made a difference in your participation. For the men who attended on Sunday I hope you had a chance to go into the meal tents, saw the Vets enjoying the entertainment or even had a chance to sit and interact with one of them. This is what makes the day special for me. As much as we are grateful to them for their courage in serving our country, they are appreciative to us for providing them this celebration. The Veterans’ Holiday Celebration got its start 20 years ago, with humble beginnings. I remember those days, when our Men’s teams prepared all the meals. We had a blast working together. And you know what? Before too long the call will go out again. Community leaders are already working on how to make next year’s event even better. As a member of Full Monty, you are a part of this rich legacy. Reach out to the men. See what your men received this past weekend. Feel free to contact me and I will be glad to put you in contact these men. And if you’re feeling inspired, I can put you in touch with the leadership team for next year. It’s an honor to have you men in my life. Thank you for stepping up this past weekend. I knew we could do it and we did. Have a great holiday season! Siegal P.S. This past Saturday I attended the second meeting of Full Monty’s Community service program at Andersen’s. Stay tuned. There are exciting things happening in the near future. |
are you a movember man?
how to grow a mustache
During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces, in the US and around the world. With their Mo's, these men raise vital awareness and funds for men's health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives.
Once registered at www.movember.com, men start Movember 1st clean shaven. For the rest of the month, these selfless and generous men, known as Mo Bros, groom, trim and wax their way into the annals of fine moustachery. Supported by the women in their lives, Mo Sistas, Movember Mo Bros raise funds by seeking out sponsorship for their Mo-growing efforts.
Mo Bros effectively become walking, talking billboards for the 30 days of November. Through their actions and words they raise awareness by prompting private and public conversation around the often ignored issue of men’s health.
At the end of the month, Mo Bros and Mo Sistas celebrate their gallantry and valor by either throwing their own Movember party or attending one of the infamous Gala Partés held around the world by Movember, for Movember.

how to be an awesome uncle
courtesy of artofmanliness.com
Psychologists tell us that one of the most, if not the most important factor in our happiness is the number of quality relationships in our lives. Decades ago, such relationships were easy to come by. You were very likely to be surrounded by extended family who all got together often for loud and boisterous celebrations. As you grew up, you got to know your cousins, and your aunts and uncles as well.
These days, many families live far apart, and family reunions are few and far between — often non-existent, it seems. But everybody still wants to feel part of a clan, and family ties are just as important as they ever were. In the role of uncle, you have a chance to forge those ties in positive ways with your nieces and nephews.

8 finance questions to ask when
considering a job offer
courtesy of artofmanliness.com
You’ve rocked the job interview and landed an offer. Way to go! Now comes the part that many dread: talking about the pay and benefits package with their potential employer. Some men want a job so bad that they’d much rather skip this discussion and accept whatever the company offers them lest they offend their potential employer and lose the opportunity. But doing so can be a costly mistake. For many young men starting out in life, the fear of this discussion with a potential employer stems from simply not knowing what questions to ask. Sure, discussing salary is obvious, but what other things should you ask about and possibly negotiate? click her to go to article >> |

31 characteristics of leadership
andrew carnegie's guide to great leadership

Napolean Hill, author of "Think and Grow Rich" considered the turning point in his life to have occurred in the year 1908 with his assignment, as part of a series of articles about famous and successful men, to interview the industrialist Andrew Carnegie. At the time, Carnegie was one of the most powerful men in the world. Hill discovered that Carnegie believed that the process of success could be outlined in a simple formula that anyone would be able to understand and achieve.
Andrew Carnegie breaks down these 31 qualities that in his words "are capable of development and application by any person of average intelligence."
