narayanan  krishnan:
a  companion  to  the  forgotten

This man in india quit his job at a hotel to devote his life to service and taking care of those who can't take care of themselves.  One thing is for sure: If you are depressed, go and serve someone more depressed than you and you will realize that your problems are not that bad.

I spent this weekend in Raleigh, NC. I have been to North Carolina 4 weeks in a row now and have been thinking I am ready to see another state. Next week I go to South Dakota - yikes! I should have been a little more specific with my desires. The temperature there is 35 - 44 degrees.

In addition to imparting an incredible wealth of knowledge about methods and techniques of real estate investing, the courses I am part of putting on also teach people a change of mindset required to yield new results in life as a person. (If you keep doing what you have always done, you will keep getting what you have always gotten.) I work in a very inspiring environment and am very thankful for it!

20th  annual  veterans  holiday  celebration

It is that time of year again when we have the wonderful opportunity to give back to those who have served our country through their military service. This year we celebrate our 20th year. We need you to help make this year extra special. Our planning meetings have started each Saturday mornings 10AM-12PM and will grow to approximately 700 volunteers on the day of the event which is held on the first Sunday in December. This is the largest all volunteer event of its kind in the country!

Are you good at preparing and serving food, arranging venues, fundraising, outreach, procurement, logistics, decorations, photography, set-up and clean-up? Bring your unique skills, share it with the rest of our community in producing the event. We still need some team leaders for Decoration, Site Set Up, Volunteer Support, Procurement, Volunteer Groups and Site Strike.

making  decisions  for  your  woman

by  stauder

Picture

A couple weeks ago my woman said something in front of some people we were playing volleyball that kind of irked me.  It was no big deal so I shrugged it off without saying anything to her about it.  A few days later I was reading a chapter from The Way of the Superior Man by David Deida (of which most of you are intimately familiar).  This particular chapter was about making decisions.  In summary, the chapter relayed that making decisions is a masculine trait that men can give as a gift to our women. Women would often prefer to stay in the gray area and have their lives be lead by their feelings in the moment...

31  characteristics  of  leadership

andrew  carnegie's  guide  to  great  leadership

Picture

Napolean Hill, author of "Think and Grow Rich"  considered the turning point in his life to have occurred in the year 1908 with his assignment, as part of a series of articles about famous and successful men, to interview the industrialist Andrew Carnegie.  At the time, Carnegie was one of the most powerful men in the world.  Hill discovered that Carnegie believed that the process of success could be outlined in a simple formula that anyone would be able to understand and achieve.

Andrew Carnegie breaks down these 31 qualities that in his words "are capable of development and application by any person of average intelligence."

marine  corps  leadership  traits

Ever wonder what it takes to be a leader in the Marines?

These 14 leadership traits are qualities of thought and action, which if demonstrated in daily activities, help Marines earn the respect, confidence, and loyal cooperation of other Marines. It is extremely important that you understand the meaning of each leadership trait and how to develop it, so you know what goals to set as you work to become a good leader and a good follower.
