This week I am in Charlotte, NC again. Same city, different hotel. Charlotte has a very nice and very clean downtown area and the Panther's Stadium is right here in the middle of it. I went out with my cousin on Saturday night to a bunch of bars here with tons of people in Halloween outfits. It was a fun scene and great to spend time with my extended family. I am, however, looking forward to coming home after 10 days away. ~ Stauder |
fathering forum all day event
The Fathering Forum promises to provide dads with the awareness, the tools and the fellowship to become the best fathers they can be for their children. Invest in a weekend of fellowship with committed fathers like yourself to learn how easy it is to bestow even greater gifts to your children by:
• Developing a more effective and powerful model of fathering
• Communicating and listening more effectively
• Knowing how to focus on the Big Picture and still take care of the small stuff
• Balancing fathering with your many other roles
• Understanding the limitations of methods that haven’t worked
• Exploring alternative approaches to fathering that have worked for other dads
• Teaming up powerfully with other adults to benefit your children
• Identifying and empowering your children’s dreams, special talents, and passions
• Becoming more confident and competent at realizing your goals as a father
• Joining a team of fathers in your community who learn from and help each other
• Making the world a happier, healthier place for your children, and all children.

20th annual veterans holiday celebration
It is that time of year again when we have the wonderful opportunity to give back to those who have served our country through their military service. This year we celebrate our 20th year. We need you to help make this year extra special. Our planning meetings have started each Saturday mornings 10AM-12PM and will grow to approximately 700 volunteers on the day of the event which is held on the first Sunday in December. This is the largest all volunteer event of its kind in the country!
Are you good at preparing and serving food, arranging venues, fundraising, outreach, procurement, logistics, decorations, photography, set-up and clean-up? Bring your unique skills, share it with the rest of our community in producing the event. We still need some team leaders for Decoration, Site Set Up, Volunteer Support, Procurement, Volunteer Groups and Site Strike.

making decisions for your woman
by stauder

A couple weeks ago my woman said something in front of some people we were playing volleyball that kind of irked me. It was no big deal so I shrugged it off without saying anything to her about it. A few days later I was reading a chapter from The Way of the Superior Man by David Deida (of which most of you are intimately familiar). This particular chapter was about making decisions. In summary, the chapter relayed that making decisions is a masculine trait that men can give as a gift to our women. Women would often prefer to stay in the gray area and have their lives be lead by their feelings in the moment...

31 characteristics of leadership
andrew carnegie's guide to great leadership

Napolean Hill, author of "Think and Grow Rich" considered the turning point in his life to have occurred in the year 1908 with his assignment, as part of a series of articles about famous and successful men, to interview the industrialist Andrew Carnegie. At the time, Carnegie was one of the most powerful men in the world. Hill discovered that Carnegie believed that the process of success could be outlined in a simple formula that anyone would be able to understand and achieve.
Andrew Carnegie breaks down these 31 qualities that in his words "are capable of development and application by any person of average intelligence."
